Greetings CDM Affiliate,
As the 2003 Fantasy Sports season prepares to open,
CDM
Fantasy Sports would like to share with you
the many games which are available for you to display
on your website. In order to keep you, our valued Affiliate,
better informed as well as more aware of your many options
throughout the sports year, we will be sending you quarterly
newsletters. This will be the first in what we hope
will be an informative, useful and profitable tool for
our Affiliate Association.
While the primary goal of the newsletter
will be to make you aware of upcoming games that you
may want to promote, we will also provide you with other
tidbits which you may find helpful in increasing your
traffic or signups. Additionally, a breakdown of each
upcoming game will be provided including information
such as the type of sport, style of play, signup dates,
deadline dates and costs. Examples of artwork and links
will also be provided in each edition. This information
will assist you in determining which game or games you
feel may best suit your customer base.
This Quarterly Newsletter's tip is a reminder
that our signup season is PRIOR to the beginning of
the actual sports season being promoted. Your goal is
to offer your customers the opportunity to join our
various games before the season begins. To wait until
the last weeks of Spring Training or Opening Day of
Baseball Season to promote one of our fantasy baseball
games is a missed opportunity. In order to maximize
your referral opportunities, banners and links should
be displayed during the months of January, February
and March. Once the signup deadline for baseball passes,
you need to consider replacing those banners with options
from the next set of upcoming games to be promoted.
These options include games such as The
Hockey News Playoff Challenge, USA
TODAY Playoff Basketball Challenge, Tour
Trade II Fantasy Golf, and by early summer,
our numerous football games. Just remember as each season
starts, a new opportunity begins in other sports.
GAMES CURRENTLY AVAILABLE TO PROMOTE
At
the bottom of this newsletter, there is a summary of
the six featured games that we recommend promoting now.
Five are fantasy baseball games and one is a fantasy
golf game. Of the five baseball games, two are rotisserie-style
games (Diamond
Challenge and Internet
Challenge), and three are fantasy-point-style
games (Fantasy
Baseball 2003, Budget
Baseball, and Pick
4 Baseball). By clicking on the games
logo, you can easily go to its website to access the
complete rules, pricing, and prizes.
We also are offering a High
Roller Fantasy Baseball game this year with
a $1000 entry fee. If you think this game may appeal
to your customer base, please feel free to promote it.
Banners and artwork are available via the CDM
Affiliates website.
GAMES AVAILABLE TO PROMOTE IN THE COMING MONTHS
At the end of this newletter, there is a summary
of the four upcoming games that will be available shortly
and can be promoted within the next month. IMPORTANT:
Three of these four games have a very narrow window
for promotion, and thus youll need to link
to them as soon as theyre available in order to
have an impact. These three games are:
The fourth game, Tour
Trade II Fantasy Golf, will be available
Friday, March 28. Its entry deadline is Wednesday, June
18, and thus there is a 10-week window available for
promotion.
As a reminder, to promote a game and receive credit
for the entries you generate, you must first put the
banners and artwork on your website and link them to
our games with your affiliate code. To do this, visit
the CDM
Affiliates website and use the Graphics
and Artwork and Linking Instructions pages.
Please feel free to contact us if you are having any
problems with this.
We here at CDM
Fantasy Sports hope you have found this newsletter
helpful. Look for the next edition near the end of May.
We look forward to a long and satisfying relationship
with you. Should you have any questions or should there
be any information which you would like covered in future
