Greetings CDM Fantasy Sports Affiliate, It's hard to believe that 2004 is already nearing the midway point. Just seems like a few weeks ago that the World Series ended, the NFL Playoffs were about to start and the NBA and NHL were just heating up. Now here we are and baseball's back in full swing, the NFL just held their annual draft, and the NHL and NBA playoffs are in progress. QUARTERLY TIP Recommendations produce better results than advertising. It's been our experience that most people joining the CDM Affiliates Program tend to slap a banner or link on their web site and then wait for results. This approach rarely produces the results hoped for. If you want to increase your success, you must offer a recommendation or some commentary about our fantasy games and services to pique your customers’ interest. As someone once told me, "You must think of yourself as a customer, not just an advertiser." As a satisfied customer recommending our games, you will find your success greatly enhanced. It doesn't hurt to actually be a customer either. It helps you create a much clearer description and gives validity to your claims. So get out of the habit of advertising and give your results a boost with personal commentary and recommendations. GAMES CURRENTLY AVAILABLE TO PROMOTE At the bottom of this newsletter, there is a summary of the four featured games that we recommend promoting now. They range in three different sports. Two are fantasy auto racing games (the Auto Racing Winners Challenge and the Checkered Flag Challenge * Circuit 2) which use Nextel Cup drivers and the Nextel Cup point system; fantasy auto racing is a very popular and fast-growing segment of the fantasy sports industry. Also featured is a fantasy baseball game (Diamond Challenge * 2nd Season) for folks who missed the season opening or who got off to a poor start and want a second chance. Finally we’re featuring the Tour Trade II fantasy golf game which begins the week after the U.S. Open. Banners and artwork are available via the CDM Affiliates website. GAMES AVAILABLE TO PROMOTE IN THE COMING MONTHS At the end of this newletter, there is a summary of the six upcoming games that will be available shortly and can be promoted beginning Monday, June 7, 2004. Since five of these games are fantasy football games, you’ll want to be sure to add them to your website no later than mid-June for best results! By clicking on each game’s logo in the summary table, you can easily go to its website to access the complete rules, pricing, and prizes. As a reminder, to promote a game and receive credit for the entries you generate, you must first put the banners and artwork on your website and link them to our games with your affiliate code.
