Greetings CDM Fantasy Sports Affiliate, As summer comes to a close and the changing colors of fall quickly descend upon us, the time to update your website with the fall and winter sports begins. Regular-season baseball is only two weeks from ending and the playoffs and Fall Classic are nearing. Football has just begun, yet already it's time to prepare for the return (after a lost season) of hockey as well as the 2005-06 basketball season. So it's time to update your links with new games your customers may want to join! QUARTERLY TIP GET RICH BECOMING AN AFFILIATE! You see these messages all over the Internet. Bet you've received more than a few through your email too. Websites are devoted to the subject and books are even being written on how to get rich joining affiliate programs. Remember while some so-called experts will tell you it's easy to make money with affiliate programs, they're wrong. It's not easy at all. But with some effort on your part, it can be done! Here are four items that will help you improve your chances: A) Keep your webpages fresh and updated. If they always look the same, customers will stop viewing them. Above all else, keep them user-friendly and easy to navigate. B) Write articles and newsletters that pertain to your affiliate links. This will entice the right customers in the direction you want them to go. Make sure that in the articles and newsletters you include text links (with your origin= tag). This increases your chances of a click-through. C) Don't sell -- just pre-sell. All you have to do is get your customers to click on the link. Our website will do the actual selling of the games offered. D) Look into cloaking your links. Internet users have become increasingly more sophisticated over the years. Many are now able to circumvent your origin= code and go directly to our website or any other affiliate's website without you getting the proper credit. Cloaking protects you from customers seeing the site URLs and going there directly without you getting credit. Believe me, this is happening more and more all the time. Just google "affiliate link cloaking" and you will find many available options. Many are free. Give these suggestions a try and hopefully you will find them useful and profitable! GAMES CURRENTLY AVAILABLE TO PROMOTE At the bottom of this newsletter, you'll find a summary of the four featured games that we recommend promoting now. They include three different sports. The first is CDM Fantasy Hockey. After missing a full season due to the labor strife, hockey is finally back and hockey fans couldn't be more excited. The Diamond Challenge Playoff fantasy baseball game gives all fans of baseball a chance to pick players that will do well in the playoffs. This game is a wonderful way for your customer to enjoy fantasy baseball after the regular season has ended. The fourth game, which can be promoted now, is the CDM Basketball Challenge, the #1 fantasy basketball game around! Each week you must select the 15 players from your roster that will perform the best that week. Three sports, four games and lots of chances to make money! The Mid-Season Football Challenge is the perfect fantasy football game for the football fan who missed getting a team in on time or who got off to a poor start and wants a second chance. This game can be promoted beginning Monday, October 17, 2005. The other three games (Playoff Football Challenge, Tour Trade Fantasy Golf, and One and Done Fantasy Golf) will be available for promotion in mid-December.
